Scar Revision

Whenever skin is broken by accident or surgery, scar tissue will form as the wound heals. Wounds that occur on the eyelids or around the eye result in scars that may be unsightly. Some patients experience adverse effects such as difficulty in closing the eyelids, drooping eyelids (ptosis), eyelid margin notches, and misdirected lashes. Fortunately, many of these complications may be controlled with eye plastic surgery.
